Stefanie James

Stefanie is a Juris Doctor with strong analytical, writing, researching, and problem-solving skills. Her experience includes over seven years in the legal industry, encompassing working as a mediator in Small Claims Court, advocating for workers’ rights, and a judicial clerkship. She holds a B.A. in Art History, magna cum laude, from the University of California Davis, and a J.D. from the University of California, Hastings College of the Law.

She is passionate about client advocacy; using the information and talents at her disposal to ensure best client outcomes. Particularly, Stefanie is adept at synthesizing and translating complex information into terms easily communicated to any audience. Now she is contributing what she has learned from the legal industry to transition into media tracking and writing for Seismic’s social programs. Outside of work she is always looking for new adventures, whether it’s exploring national parks or visiting museums and monuments: she connects with people from all around the world.

What does collaboration mean to you?

To me, collaboration goes hand-in-hand with diversity. One does not exist without the other. In order to fully and effectively collaborate with a team, a client, or a community: we must try to understand the varied cultural, ethnic, and socioeconomic backgrounds unique to everyone. The key component to this understanding is an openness to the unfamiliar along with compassion towards the same.
